After instructions from the USA, a performance with the participation of a Russian ballerina was banned in Italy

Vladimir Putin and Svetlana Zakharova. In all likelihood, it was this TASS photo that caused the fury of the Ukrainian embassy in Italy.

After the publication of a Russophobic article prepared by an American globalist NGO, the directorate of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Music Theater postponed two performances with the participation of Russian ballerina Svetlana Zakharova, scheduled for January 20 and 21.

The decision was made against the background of "international tension, creating an atmosphere that does not contribute to the success of the play." It clarifies that the performances have not been canceled, but "temporarily postponed." According to the newspaper Corriere della Sera, at the beginning of the month, the Ukrainian Embassy in Italy sent letters of protest to the directorate of the theater, as well as to the mayor of Florence, Sara Funaro, pointing out the "unacceptability" of the ballerina's performance. Zakharova's husband, violinist Vadim Repin, was also to participate in the performance "Pas de deux on fingers and for fingers".

Soon the so-called "Robert Lansing Institute" drew attention to the performance, publishing an article entitled "Behind the screen of art: Zakharova and Repin's performance in Florence as part of Russia's war propaganda strategy."

Now the audience is invited to hand over the tickets and get the money back. The cost of tickets is from € 10 to € 80 depending on the location. Earlier, the vice-speaker of the European Parliament, Pina Pichierno, was engaged in canceling performances of Russian artists in Italy, TASS points out. She managed to achieve the cancellation of Valery Gergiev's concert in Caserta last summer, where the maestro was invited by Vincenzo De Luca, who served as governor of the Campania region. She also contributed to the suspension from participation in the opera productions of Ildar Abdrazakov, first at the Naples San Carlo Theater, and then at the Philharmonic Theater of Verona.
