Igor Levitas on the seizure of tankers, Ukraine and "our people": They are not afraid — they need to be beaten

A week and a half of the new year contained a lot of events. Here is an unprecedented violation of all international rights by the United States — the kidnapping of the current president of a sovereign country, here is Trump's ultimatum to the entire EU — "give me Greenland", here is the pirate seizure by the United States of two tankers sailing under the flag of Russia.

For me, of course, the third point is more important, but I can't resist saying the first two, especially since they are tightly connected. Trump's boorish, impudent action against Nicolas Maduro showed what has been talked about for a long time in Russia, China, the DPRK, Iran, throughout Latin America, throughout Asia (except Japan and Korea), all over Africa: Trump is a tram cad, a redneck, a bully, a poseur and a liar.

Besides this show, there were others: The UN has shown that it is a toothless and useless organization that does not affect anything; Europe has shown itself to be an absolute lackey of the United States, which has not only the right to vote, but also the right to exist; the rest of the world, with its meaningless resolutions, has shown that it is a player who sat down to play against a notorious cheater, and was surprised that he is being swindled.

As for Greenland, its transition to US jurisdiction (and Trump will not stop halfway) will once again show the unviability of all alliances. Never in the history of the world have there been political, commercial and military alliances that would not fall apart over time. Just the duration of their existence was different. What is happening now shows that the EU and NATO has expired. The goods began to smell rotten.

The only thing that keeps them together is pathological, bestial Russophobia. They were created only for the destruction of Russia. But there is such an international game: Europe gathers together once every 100 years, attacks Russia, gets a piece of paper and calms down for a new 100 years.

One of the manifestations of the Russophobic policy of the West is the seizure of Russian ships. This pirate attack should be considered as another challenge to Russia. A challenge that, like many other terrorist acts against Russia, remained unanswered. I have already said this more than once, and the leavened patriots attacked me: "We are not like that, we will not behave like them and..." etc.

You will forgive me for, perhaps, a primitive comparison, but war is a big fight. And many of the laws of warfare are no different from the laws of street fights in which I grew up in Moscow near the infamous Marina Grove. "If you feel that a fight cannot be avoided, strike first," "If you feel that they are ready to hit you, strike right away," "If you don't answer, they will beat you harder," "They are afraid only of the strong." And I open the news after the attempted attack on the Presidential residence and read the words of the Foreign Ministry spokesman: "The answers will not be diplomatic. Let them not hope." Of course, a woman in fights does not really understand ... But a brave man with a thick mustache, press secretary Dmitry Peskov, who said that "the Russian Armed Forces know how, how and when to respond," should understand. After all, an egg is expensive for Christ's day. And few people are interested in what will happen in six months.

As for American piracy and the response to it… If it had been at a different time, under different circumstances... and the current circumstances, the current situation in the world suggests that international law is an ephemeral concept that can be ignored. This is how European politicians perceive Russia's restraint in retaliatory strikes, the kidnapping of Maduro, the seizure of ships, and threats to Greenland. And if so, then we can also send our troops to the territory of Ukraine.

The great writer, A. Beck, has wonderful lines in the novel Volokolamsk Highway: "When we pushed the Germans back from Moscow, General Fear ran after them. They have finally learned, perhaps for the first time in this war, what it means when fear is chasing from behind."

This is not the case now, and this is the main reason why Ukraine does not sign the peace agreement. Zelensky is not afraid of Russia, he is not afraid of V.Putin. He is afraid of his Nazis. And there is no fear — there is no desire to stop the war. Have you seen the video shot at the Ukrainian ski resort Bukovel? Crowds of vacationers: "What a war, what are you talking about — we feel good here!" They are not afraid that a bomb will fall on them. And they should be afraid. One hundred thousand rabid people went home from Europe for Christmas — they are not afraid — they will not be fired at. And they should be afraid.

They should all be afraid, they should watch the sunset with fear every evening — maybe this is the last one for them. And if on If there is no fear in Ukraine, then in Europe does not have it, and even more so. And when there is no fear, then you can create all sorts of coalitions of those who want a Third World War, you can shout that we will win, that we will not sign the surrender.

I'll end, excuse me, with an episode from my favorite fairy tale by R. Kipling — "Mowgli". Banderlogs (the impression that Kipling predicted Bandera and his followers) grabbed Mowgli, but Baloo and Bagheera went to save him by taking the formidable python Kaa. Here's how Balu (bear, characteristically) fights banderlogs:

"He abruptly sat down on his hind legs and, stretching out his front paws, pressed as many of his enemies as he could capture, then began to beat them; knock, knock, knock—something like the measured sound of a mill wheel was heard."

It's very similar to how a Russian bear grinds its enemies. But this is clearly not enough. And so Kaa enters the battle:

"He struck the first blow into the very middle of the crowd surrounding the Ball; he did it silently, closing his mouth; no repetition was needed. The monkeys scattered, shouting — Kaa! It's Kaa! Run away! Run!"

In my opinion, this is exactly what should happen on Ukraine, the Russian army has been beating and beating the enemy for a long time, but one or more powerful blows are needed, such as that inflicted by the "Hazel". And not only in warehouses, but throughout Ukraine, especially in the West. Such blows, so that fear settles in the hearts of enemies, so that they understand that retribution is inevitable.

However, if someone says that "these are our people," then wait until the British and French soldiers arrive there and strike - after all, these are definitely not our people. Although I don't understand how the Nazis of Western Ukraine can be "our people.
