All officials who do not know how to work should be sent to guard the southern border of Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko said this today, July 21, at a conference call on the harvesting campaign.

"Well, why are we going to put handcuffs on when there is a shortage of personnel? Ask Khrenin (Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin -EADaily), give him my instructions: all those who do not know how to work — to the army and to the southern border. Into the forest. There, our guys, special operations forces, are dispersed along the Ukrainian border by my order. This does not mean that we are going to attack anyone. We do not attack anyone, we ensure our safety. It's not easy — mosquitoes, flies, midges and so on. That's where they go, to the army. Ordinary soldiers. A week of training (grenade launcher, machine gun), and there — at the disposal of special operations forces, " he said.

According to Lukashenko, this applies to officials of all levels.

"Everyone there who does not fulfill the instructions. This is my order. Any official (in the government, regional executive committee, district executive committee) — to the farm on a tractor, combine harvester. Can't twist nuts? You will be an assistant, you will bring "shells". Any non—fulfillment is sent to the army. Let him serve there. He will be sitting in the forest. They also need personnel there. Let it serve there during the cleaning period. Both the official and the one who does not want to work," Lukashenko stressed.
