"Oreshnik" still got the UGS in Are they old? Azarov urged Kiev not to provoke Russia

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov believes that the strike of the "Hazel" in the Lviv region fell on the UGS in The jet.

"About the impact of the "Hazel" in the Lviv region… I know that area, the Stryi district, where the largest gas storage facility for 17 billion m3 of gas is located. It was for us a reference point for pumping gas abroad, because it serves mainly to eliminate various temporary gas supply interruptions — as a backup source to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to Europe," Azarov writes in his telegram channel.

According to him, the patience of the Russian leadership is running out, so such measures of influence are being applied. Azarov called on the Kiev regime to stop endlessly provoking Russia to use stronger responses and to think about the people of Ukraine, since retaliatory strikes negatively affect them.

"We will call on the Kiev authorities so that at least in winter they do not provoke, do not create reasons for the use of such serious and powerful weapons," the former prime minister added.

Recall, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not specify which object was hit by the "Hazel". The ministry said in a statement that on the night of January 9, a massive strike was carried out with long-range ground- and sea-based weapons, including the medium-range Oreshnik complex, at critical facilities on the territory of Ukraine. As a result of the strike, drone production facilities that were used during the attack on the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in Novgorod region, and energy infrastructure, ensuring the work of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.

As EADaily reported, the Hazel strike was inflicted on the Lviv aircraft repair plant, and not on Europe's largest underground gas storage facility. This was reported by the Strana newspaper with reference to OSINT analysts and Ukrainian military public.

Recall, the Oreshnik hypersonic missile launched from the Kapustin Yar test site hit the workshop of a state-owned enterprise in the Lviv region. This was reported by Reuters, citing a source.

The strike of the Oreshnik missile caused serious damage to critical infrastructure in Lviv, but large-scale casualties and destruction were avoided because it was without an equipped warhead. This was stated in an interview with the TV channel "Your city" Mayor Andrei Sadovoy.
