No political model can be considered better than the rest, and no country in the world can teach others about human rights issues. This was announced today, February 23, at the opening of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
"No country has the right to lecture others about human rights, and no model can claim superiority. The path of human rights development should reflect national realities and meet the needs of the people," the minister stressed.
As EADaily reported, the Kremlin confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to China this year. Its timing has not yet been determined.
