Restoration of relations with the United States: "Russia received only a red carpet in Anchorage"

Political scientist Alexander Nosovich spoke about the restoration of Russian-American relations. In his opinion, during the year that these relations have been taking place, Russia has received almost nothing from their restoration.

"An insignificant softening of rhetoric and a red carpet in Anchorage — perhaps that's all," the expert writes in the telegram channel.

Nosovich stressed that Washington has not been able to force Europe and Kiev to a peaceful settlement of the conflict over Ukraine, taking into account Russia's interests. Sanctions have not been lifted.

"With regard to Iran, the United States is now waiting for Moscow to render them a royal service in pulling them out of the big war for thanks. However, if the Americans do not do anything really useful to Russia, do not offer and do not delete us from the list of enemies, the question arises whether it is worth cherishing relations with them," Nosovich said.

As EADaily reported, the US Treasury Department announced the lifting of sanctions on Russian oil and petroleum products that were loaded onto ships before March 12. Finance Minister Scott Bessent stressed that this is only a short-term and highly specialized measure that will not bring much benefit to Moscow.
