On the night of November 29, Ukrainian unmanned boats attacked the sea terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) near Novorossiysk. One of the berths is damaged, the structure cannot be restored.
This was reported today by the press service of the CPC. It is noted that there are no casualties among CPC personnel and contractors, however, all operations, including loading, have been discontinued. Tankers have been diverted outside the terminal's water area.
According to preliminary data, there was no oil entering the Black Sea water area, since the emergency protection systems worked normally at the time of the explosion and blocked the corresponding pipelines.
"Seawater sampling is underway, environmental monitoring is underway, and the OSR Plan is in effect. Further operation of VPU-2 is not possible. Shipments at the terminal will be carried out in accordance with the established rules when canceling the threats of the BACK and UAV, "the release says.
It also indicates that the Caspian Pipeline Consortium unites the largest fuel and energy companies in Russia, the USA, Kazakhstan, and a number of Western European countries.
It is emphasized that the third act of aggression against a purely civilian object protected by international law has already been committed. Earlier, the Kropotkinskaya NPS was attacked, and the CPC administrative office in Novorossiysk was damaged.
Earlier, EADaily reported that as a result of a massive drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of November 25, the control center of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, which provides the main export of Kazakh oil, was hit.
