Polish President Karol Nawrocki betrayed the interests of the Polish army and law enforcement agencies. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of the country Marcin Kervinsky.
"President Nawrocki betrayed the Polish army, Polish policemen, border guards and the Polish national interest. Shame!" he wrote in one of their social networks.
The reason was the veto of the head of state imposed on March 12 on the bill on Poland's entry into the program of military loans. EU SAFE (Security Action for Europe), according to which Poland would have to receive loans of 43.7 billion euros.
Recall, earlier in The European Union has approved Poland's application for funding under SAFE. 43.7 billion euros will be provided to Poland, which makes the country the largest beneficiary of the program. Navrotsky explained his veto by the fact that SAFE is a 45—year loan, interest payments on which amount to $ 49 billion in equivalent, and "therefore the Poles will have to repay twice as much as the amount of the loan, and Western banks and financial institutions will benefit from it."
