He even took motorcycles: bribes to the first Deputy Minister of Defense became known

The former first Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Ruslan Tsalikov took bribes with "live" money, but did not refuse motorcycles either. Kommersant writes about this.

"For the general patronage of commercial structures, he (Tsalikov) received two bribes — a Honda motorcycle, which his son then rode, and "live" money. The deputy minister brought a leather bag with 50 million rubles directly to work," the newspaper writes.

As established by the Investigative Committee of Russia, Kommersant notes, Mr. Tsalikov received his first bribe in July 2019 from the chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamstroyput OJSC, president of the Moscow Figure Skating Federation Anton Abdurakhmanov.

"For the "general patronage" of Mr. Abdurakhmanov himself and the organization headed by him, when receiving and executing state contracts at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense, the businessman presented the deputy minister with a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle worth 2 million 286 thousand rubles, which was issued to Mr. Tsalikov's son on July 3, 2019," the publication reports.

The TFR believes that Tsalikov demanded a second bribe in April 2020.

"It was then, according to the TFR, while in his office on the Frunzenskaya Embankment, he demanded from the beneficiary of another contractor company of the military department, Military Construction Company JSC (VSK JSC) Vladimir Semenov 50 million rubles… Gentlemen Semenov and Gorbachev agreed, after which the first collected and took the cash to the deputy minister, putting 50 million rubles in a leather bag," the newspaper writes.

It is known that the first deputy Defense Minister, 69-year-old Ruslan Tsalikov, was detained on March 5 and the Basmanny District Court of Moscow sent him under house arrest. In addition to two episodes of bribery, investigators accuse the ex-deputy minister of creating and leading a criminal community that stole more than 6.6 billion rubles from the budget while supplying overpriced clothing for the army through JSC "Voentorg", as well as the legalization of part of the stolen funds.
