Russia has issued a warning to Israel in connection with the strikes on the Bushehr area in Iran, where the nuclear power plant is located and where Russian specialists are located. This is reported by the Haqqin agency with reference to the Israeli edition of Maariv.
It is noted that the warning was transmitted "over the weekend" through the Russian representative office in Israel. Moscow has protested that the strikes are being carried out near places where Russian engineers and experts work.
"The report did not mention direct damage to buildings or property. The main focus was on the proximity of the strikes to Russian specialists," the agency reports.
It is noted that the Bushehr NPP is the only operating nuclear power plant in Iran, its construction was accompanied by Russia for many years. Russian engineers and specialists who are actively involved in the operation of the station, as well as in the construction of new units, are constantly working there.
Earlier, Moscow reported that some of the employees working at the Bushehr nuclear power plant and their families had been evacuated from Iran, but hundreds of specialists were still there, the Israeli newspaper writes. Now the work on the expansion of the station has been partially suspended.
