Statements by Israeli Ambassador Oded Yosef regarding Russia's position on the conflict with Iran do not contribute to strengthening friendly ties. This was announced today, March 25, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The ambassador's statements allegedly about Moscow's one-sided, one-sided position regarding the current situation in the Middle East seem inappropriate...… Among other things, such public statements assessing the approaches of the host country on this or that story from the mouth of the ambassador do not contribute to strengthening friendly ties," she said.
As EADaily reported, on March 20, Israeli Ambassador to Moscow Oded Yosef was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the attack on journalists. RT in Lebanon, the meeting lasted more than half an hour. Yosef left the Foreign Ministry building without comment.
Prior to that, the head of the bureau of the Russian TV channel in Lebanon, Steve Sweeney, and the cameraman were injured in the south of the republic.
