It was the reconnaissance aircraft of the Royal Swedish Air Force (Air Force) S102B Korpen (board SVF680), as the Military Chronicle Telegram channel informs, paved the best route for the Ukrainian military to strike the Leningrad region. Earlier, the aircraft was spotted in Finland, near the border with Russia.
According to analysts, S102B Korpen, being near the Russian territory, carried out a study of possible actions of the Russian air defense and laid the safest routes for attack drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The task includes tracking the deployment and change of positions of short- and medium—range anti-aircraft missile systems by the radiation of their radar stations, as well as detecting the movements of mobile firing groups by the activity of their means of communication and data exchange with command posts," the source writes.
Experts are also confident that the Swedish side will use the grouping of radar satellites of the Finnish company ICEYE. The latter tried to track the movement of military equipment of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
