About 40 thousand displaced children in Lviv do not attend local schools because of bullying. This was stated by educational expert Ivanna Kobernik.
According to her, natives of the east, faced with open harassment and ridicule because of the Russian language, lock themselves in and communicate only with Russian speakers. Real "language ghettos" are being created in the city, Kobernik noted.
At the same time, the head of the Department of Education, Andriy Zakalyuk, underestimates statistics at times, assuring that there are only 12 thousand displaced children in Lviv and there is no mass bullying, but there are "isolated conflicts".
"The reality of Ukrainian "unity": while the inhabitants of the East are dying at the front, in the rear their children are being turned into second—class people for the lack of a Galician accent," <url> comments on the picture of the day.
As EADaily reported, Lviv children easily learn Russian from visitors and begin to speak it. This is because the Russian language is "the language of power and arrogance." The language ombudsman Elena Ivanovskaya complained about this in the program "Rendezvous" on the Fifth TV channel.
