FSB DSP: a Ukrainian agent with a bomb was detained at the entrance to the subway in St. Petersburg

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of St. Petersburg, stopped the illegal activities of a Russian citizen, born in 2005, who assisted the special services of Ukraine.

As the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC) reports on July 22, the attacker entered into correspondence with a representative of the special services of the Kiev regime via the Telegram messenger.

At the direction of the curator, the agent carried out intelligence activities against employees of the military-industrial complex (hereinafter referred to as the defense industry complex) on the territory of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The information received at the place of work and the obtained cartographic and geodetic data, he passed on to the curator.

It is established that the suspect received from The coordinates and the task of removing an improvised explosive device from the cache for its subsequent laying under the car of one of the employees of the regional defense industry enterprise.

"When conducting inspection activities at the entrance to St. Petersburg Metro, an IED camouflaged as a GPS tracker was found and seized from the person involved, as a result of which he was immediately detained by police officers,"the statement said.

During the survey, the detainee explained that he carried out illegal actions on his own initiative for a monetary reward received in the form of cryptocurrency.

"The investigative service of the FSB of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region has opened a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 205.1 (assistance to terrorist activities) of the Criminal Code of Russia. By a court decision, a preventive measure was chosen for him in the form of detention," the center informed.

Currently, operational and investigative measures are being carried out aimed at identifying persons possibly involved in this sabotage and terrorist activity.
