The European Commission is a laughing stock, and the EU is run by Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico.
The Prime Minister reacted to the situation with the Druzhba pipeline, the work of which Kiev continues to block.
"I do not know whether to laugh or cry when I look at the European Commission. This is a story of either absolute incompetence or absolute cooperation of the Commission with Ukraine to the detriment of the EU member states. If someone tells us that we don't know where the mission is and what it is doing with regard to the Druzhba pipeline, it's not even funny anymore," Fico said, commenting on the situation with the EU commission, which was supposed to examine the damage claimed by the Ukrainian authorities.
At the same time, the Prime Minister asked himself, "who does the European Commission really prefer?"
"Does she prefer a non-EU state to a war on Ukraine or peace and, above all, protection of the interests of EU member states?" Fico asked, adding that the opening of the Druzhba pipeline would significantly change the crisis in Central Europe.
According to the Slovak Prime Minister, the behavior of the European Commission is incomprehensible.
"I will not assess now whether it is her incompetence or cooperation with the President of Ukraine. Both are crazy, and I never in my life could have imagined that the European Commission would be perceived by the public in this way, because what we read is a mockery. The European Commission is a laughing stock. If she wants to be a laughingstock, so be it. But we are not a laughing stock, because it causes us huge problems," Fico stressed.
He also added that Bratislava will demand that the European Commission continue to insist on the possibility of conducting a mission that will determine the true scale of damage to the Druzhba oil pipeline.
"It is necessary to insist on the resumption of the construction of the pipeline, which would help the whole of Central Europe, and, among other things, tougher and more decisive measures should also be applied against President Zelensky, who is already doing everything he wants. It seems to me that if someone controls The EU today is not the European Council, but President Zelensky, which is very sad," the Prime Minister of Slovakia concluded.
Recall, oil via the Druzhba pipeline does not enter the Slovakia and Hungary since January. Kiev claims that the pipeline is damaged, but does not allow anyone to check it. Bratislava believes that the actions of the Kiev regime are politically motivated and designed to put pressure on Slovakia and Hungary.
