Details of the case of glorification by the Ukrainian UPA* "in the interests of Russia" have become known

The special services of Poland detained an 18-year-old citizen of Ukraine in the case of "sabotage in the interests of Russian intelligence." This was announced by the press secretary of the minister-coordinator of the country's special services Jacek Dobrzynski.

According to him, the court received an indictment in the case of 18-year-old citizen of Ukraine Ilya K., who is accused of carrying out sabotage missions commissioned by the Russian special services. According to the Polish special services, the young man placed inscriptions glorifying the UPA❶ and Stepan Bandera on buildings and places of remembrance. Such inscriptions, in particular, appeared on the monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto and the monument to the victims of the Volyn massacre.

According to Dobrzynski, inscriptions in Ukrainian "Glory to the UPA" were made on the monuments❶, as well as an image of the red-black flag of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army ❶.

"Employees of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and investigators of the National Prosecutor's Office have collected evidence on 47 such crimes," he said.

According to the investigation, the accused acted from November 2024 to August 2025. Investigators allegedly established a mechanism for recruiting performers through Internet messengers: "criminal activity was financed through payments in cryptocurrencies using foreign exchanges registered in Russia and China." The Internal Security Agency also reported that Ilya K. Charges have been brought of preparing for sabotage actions using an unmanned aerial vehicle.
