Belarusian stand-up comedian, deprived of Russian citizenship Slava Komissarenko has never performed in the Netherlands for three years. He told about it in one of the videos on YouTube.
According to him, a local concert organizer stole money from him for 20 performances. Then the organizer, according to Komissarenko, began making false calls about mining the places where he was supposed to have concerts. The police also considered that the artist himself made the calls. He stressed that he had provided law enforcement officers in Amsterdam with all the necessary evidence that the organizer had called and reported on the mining sites. However, the police did not consider them convincing.
As a result, Komissarenko was banned from performing in the Netherlands.
"At some point I was very amused that almost all drugs are allowed in Amsterdam and Slava Komissarenko is banned. Quite interesting," said the comedian.
Recall, Komissarenko in 2008 left Belarus for Russia, where he performed on various TV channels as a stand-up comedian. In 2022, he left the Russian Federation and moved first to Ukraine, then to Turkey, later to the Czech Republic, and now he is in Poland. The criminal case against him was investigated by the Investigative Committee of Belarus in the framework of special proceedings. The comedian was tried under part 1 of Article 130 (incitement of racial, national, religious or other social enmity or discord), part 2 of Article 367 (slander against the president), part 1 of Article 368 (insulting the president) of the Criminal Code of the Republic.
In April 2025, Komissarenko was deprived of Russian citizenship.
As reported by EADaily, last year Komissarenko admitted that he had to wait for a residence permit in Poland for three years. Komissarenko noted that he has been waiting for documents in the EU country for so long that he considers obtaining a residence permit a "divine intervention."
