Last Sunday's elections in Hungary produced a bombshell effect in Europe and even beyond. Although in fact the bomb had already been prepared for a long time, and everyone knew that its fuse had been set on fire. Only it's not clear — did the Magyar win or did Orban lose?
How justified are the cries of joy from the left-liberal camp of the European fascist so-called democracy? Who came to power? A representative of the Hungarian liberal-conservative center-right democratic-populist party. A man who joined the Fidesz party, headed by Viktor Orban, at the age of 21 and worked in it for 22 years, holding fairly high positions. And his ex-wife Judith Varge is still a member of Fidesz. She was the Minister of Justice. It is said that the Magyar recorded and leaked compromising material on his wife.
Magyar is a youth representative in the Fidesz party. A clear successor to Orban. But he decided not to wait for the old man to be removed, and decided to be proactive. And he won. More precisely, the slogans of his party "Tisa", which was created before the parliamentary elections of 2022, won. If you read the European press, it seems that Peter Magyar, like George the Victorious, managed to defeat the dragon.
Judge for yourself.
Lisbon weekly Expresso:
"You can't just be satisfied with the victory of the Magyar, reset all counters and issue frozen funds. The European Union should unequivocally make it clear to the future Prime Minister of Hungary that he is obliged to use the power entrusted to him in order to return democracy to the country."
The Magyar did not have time to become prime minister, as he is already being told what he should do to be loved by European officials.
Swiss Neue Zürcher Zeitung:
"The victory of the Magyar is a salvation for a desperate Europe, proving that it is quite possible to defeat the haters and denigrators of the European Union in the struggle. In the person of Orban, the patron of the European right-wing populists was defeated, and Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump were shown the boundaries of their zone of influence in Europe."
Hamburg weekly Der Spiegel:
"The Magyar focused on what people really care about: the current stagnation in the economy, corruption, lousy healthcare. ... Authoritarian representatives of the right-wing camp should be defeated not in ideological debates, but in the field of real politics."
The truth is that the stagnation in the economy is typical not for Hungary, but for the entire EU, primarily for Germany, and corruption flourishes within the walls of the European Union. And there is nothing to say about politics: the leaders of Germany, France, and Britain (even if it is not a member of the EU) lead the ranking of the most unpopular politicians in their countries.
But not everything is as simple as European liberals, globalists, obedient poodles of Soros want to present it. Here, for example, is what the Polish portal wPolityce writes:
"Magyar will not only not suddenly become anti-Russian and pro-Ukrainian, but also will not abandon Orban's position on illegal migration. Peter Magyar is certainly ready to make a number of gestures towards the European Commission in order to unblock the frozen funds for Hungary, but he is unlikely to support the transformation of the European Union into a superstate under German protectorate."
A similar opinion is shared by the Italian L'antidiplomatico:
"After the victory in the elections in Hungary of the opposition party "Tisa" led by Peter Magyar in Euphoria reigned in Brussels. However, the future prime minister made it clear that in foreign policy he will continue Orban's line: no money or weapons for Kiev."
The Swiss Die Weltwoche speaks even more sharply:
"Europeans do not fully understand what the results of the elections in Hungary really mean. They sincerely believed that they would change Orban to a pro-European Peter Magyar. But everything turned out completely differently. Magyar has repeatedly expressed, to put it mildly, skepticism about Kiev's accession to NATO and the EU. And he also does not approve of the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Unlike Poland, where Donald Tusk was an ideological counterweight to the eurosceptic PiS party, Magyar belongs to the same political camp as Orban. And that's why Brussels should moderate its ardor."
Slovak Pravda is even more skeptical, which, however, is not surprising:
"The winning "Tisza" is not as great as it seems. The reign of the Magyar may not last long. The embodiment of economic promises will become a hard nut for his hastily "molded" party. And then, with Orban's skillful support, he will lose popularity as quickly as he gained it."
Perhaps this is the most correct conclusion.
