The Armenian government "forgot" about Callas as part of the EU delegation that arrived in Yerevan

The head of the European delegation, Kaya Kallas, was forgotten to mention in the release of the Armenian government. This error was noticed by a number of media outlets.

It is reported that on May 3, the political leadership of the EU — the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Council Antonio Costa, the President of the European Parliament Robert Metzola and the head of diplomacy EU Kaya Callas arrived in Yerevan by one plane. Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan met them. At the same time, the government release listed everyone except the head of the European diplomacy Kai Kallas.

Recall, on May 3, 2026, the head of diplomacy EU Kaya Kallas arrived in Yerevan as part of the EU top leadership to participate in the first Armenia-EU summit and the VIII summit of the European Political Community. According to the official version, "the visit is aimed at strengthening partnership, strengthening Armenia's resilience to hybrid threats and discussing regional security."
