A new political reality is taking shape in the Baltic States — expert

A new political reality is taking shape in the Baltic region, said political scientist Alexander Nosovich, commenting on the news about Ukrainian drones in this territory.

First, according to Nosovich, the Kiev regime unwittingly destroys the basis of the current legitimacy of its allies in The Baltic States.

"Since 2022, it has been based on fear and hatred of Russia and support for Ukraine, which is at war with the Russians so that the war does not come to the Baltic countries. As a result, the war came to the Baltic countries. And if Russia had brought it, the legitimacy of the Baltic regimes would have been re-established. But it was brought by Ukrainian drones. Ukraine brought the war," the expert stated.

Secondly, Nosovich continued, the Baltic countries, after more than 20 years, have always and everywhere, and especially in dialogue with Russia, when it was still possible, proved that they are not three small countries by themselves, but members of NATO and The European Union and speak on their behalf.

"In the history of the UAV Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia itself is just three small countries that have found themselves between the Ukrainian hammer and the Russian anvil. NATO, the EU and the largest member countries of these and other "Western elite clubs" have been silent since March, when this story of drone invasions began," the political scientist emphasized.

Thirdly, the expert states, the ideology and propaganda justification of the fight against Russia is going to hell.

"Ukraine is de jure attacking NATO countries, invading their airspace, and these countries and their allies cannot even call a spade a spade and appoint Russia responsible for the invasion of Ukrainian drones," Nosovich said.

According to him, Russia has begun systematic work to force the Baltic neighbors to change their foreign policy concept to armed neutrality.

"You don't have to love us, you don't have to be friends with us — just shoot down Ukrainian drones in your sky if you didn't open the airspace to them. Or Russia will conclude that it was opened, recognize you as co—aggressors, and we will start shooting down drones in your sky," he said.

Nosovich also drew attention to the fact that Belarus has joined this systematic work in recent days.
