Tokyo has banned Japanese journalists from covering the tragedy in Starobilsk, where by this hour, as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the college dormitory, 18 students had already been killed. This was stated to journalists on the sidelines of the assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"We have received information that Tokyo, the relevant official structures, literally banned Japanese correspondents accredited in Russia, to take part in any coverage of the situation," Zakharova said, quoted by TASS.
According to her, a large number of foreign journalists have applied to visit the site of the tragedy in In Starobilsk in the LPR, where, according to the latest data for this hour, 18 students were killed and more than forty injured as a result of the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The press will be there. We have received applications from a large number of journalists. We will do everything to get them there. The assistance of translators will be provided. This is necessary so that the world community can see and hear with their own eyes and ears what the Kiev regime is doing," Zakharova said, quoted by Kommersant.
Today it was decided to form a pool to which the Russian Foreign Ministry invites "absolutely openly all foreign correspondents who are in our country." "Everything is done so that in the shortest possible time they have the opportunity to get to this region ... and could communicate with everyone: with children, with their parents, with rescuers, with the administration. The most important thing is with eyewitnesses and with those who were directly at the epicenter of this tragedy," the diplomat noted.
As EADaily reported, the BBC television corporation officially refused to visit the scene of the tragedy in Starobilsk, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed children, and CNN is on vacation. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
