The director of the FSB of Russia, Alexander Bortnikov, called the use of embedded programs in video monitoring systems in Tehran to eliminate the Iranian leadership an alarming signal.
"A clear alarm signal is the recent liquidation by the American-Israeli alliance of representatives of the top leadership of Iran. The location coordinates of the victims were obtained, among other things, through software "bookmarks" in video monitoring systems in Tehran," Bortnikov said at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services (SORB) of the CIS member states.
He noted that dependence on Western technology platforms "creates significant vulnerabilities to cyber attacks by the intelligence services of leading NATO countries and their allies."
The Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS member states considered recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the work of special services.
"Taking into account the level of development of artificial intelligence in ensuring the security of state sovereignty and national interests, the Council members approved a concept document containing recommendations on the use of technologies AI in the activities of the CIS security agencies and special services, necessary to improve their scientific potential and operational capabilities," the FSB Public Relations Center of Russia reported following the meeting of the SORB.
