The Russian political scientist called the deadline for the end of the conflict on Ukraine

The acting parties to the armed conflict on Ukraine, with a high degree of probability, will begin to take concrete steps to complete it, starting in July 2026.

This opinion was expressed in a comment to the publication Lenta.ru Oleg Glazunov, expert of the Association of Military Political Scientists, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and Sociology of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

He recalled that earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, at a meeting with deputies from the ruling Servant of the People party, announced the end date of the conflict with Russia. According to him, this will happen before November 2026.

The political scientist drew attention to the fact that this milestone (the end of autumn this year) was called not only by the Ukrofyurer, but also by various experts, including in Russia. Glazunov considers this forecast realistic. Therefore, decision-making on a peace treaty may begin as early as mid-summer of this year.

"I think there is some kind of information leak or something is already being made public on purpose. Everyone wants to end this conflict: and Russia, and the European Union, and the United States, which do not need it either. Therefore, I think Zelensky was given time, and the first phase of the end of the war will begin in July, since the conflict cannot be stopped in one day," Glazunov said.

Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said on May 9 that it was coming to the end of the conflict on Ukraine. He even expressed his readiness to meet with Zelensky, but only for the final signing of agreements.
