The online font catalog Rentafont accused the Ukrainian company that produces the Zhivchik drink of using the Russian font Road Radio, which typed the labels on the rations of the Russian Army. This is reported by the publication "Country".
The scandal broke out after the presentation of the rebranding of the label of the famous Ukrainian brand of soft drinks "Zhivchik".
"The legendary Ukrainian drink was given the taste of the Russian army," Rentafont said in a statement.
It is noted that this font was developed by a designer from Ufa Elena Kowalski, also known as Glen Jan.
After a wave of criticism of the new label in social networks, the manufacturer of "Zhivchik" explained that she used the font offered by the partner agency and officially purchased through an international resource, and promised to rebrand the rebranding.
"We have already decided to change the fonts on the packaging and in promotional materials. Such mistakes are unacceptable, therefore, together with our partners, we are further strengthening the process of checking creative materials in the future," the company said in a statement.
