The White House delegation is delaying its arrival in Switzerland for the final signing. Obviously, there are attempts to change it at the last moment. Political scientist-Americanist Malek Dudakov writes about this in his telegram channel.

Vance and other Trump apparatchiks to "sell" their deal to the US political class. To no avail — the agreement is called the capitulation of America, many Republicans opposed its signing in Congress and talking heads in the media."

However, American society is already terribly tired of the war, Dudakov points out. In recent polls, 60% or more consider the decision to attack Iran is a mistake. Moreover, about 90% of Americans see it as a priority to avoid a long war in the Middle East. This worries them more than Iran's nuclear program.

"The effect of the appearance of the deal has already manifested itself — fuel prices in the States fell below four dollars per gallon for the first time since March. However, Donald Trump's ratings, especially on economic issues, remain extremely low. The trauma caused by the war will haunt voters in the United States for a long time," the expert emphasizes.

According to polls, 60% of Americans negatively perceive Trump's policy, 45% are forced to abandon summer vacations in 2026.

"So you still have to sign the agreement. At least to imagine it as a victory for the United States clearly will not work. But the hawks and the Israeli lobby will now do everything possible and impossible just to disrupt the deal and provoke a new war. They understand that they probably won't have another chance," Dudakov concludes.

As reported by EADaily, peace talks between the United States and Iran, which was supposed to take place on June 19 at the Burgenstock resort in Switzerland, will not take place. This was announced by the Swiss Foreign Ministry. In addition to representatives of Washington and Tehran, the presence of mediators — Pakistan and Qatar - was planned at the meeting. It was expected that the parties would discuss the implementation of the previously signed memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.

The White House had previously stated that US Vice President Jay Dee Vance canceled a trip to Switzerland scheduled for June 19. They also added that the logistics of negotiations with Iran "has never been simple or predictable." At the same time, according to The Guardian, the cancellation of the meeting came as a surprise: dozens of White House officials, employees involved in the preparation of negotiations, as well as media representatives were already in Switzerland and preparing for the visit of the parties.
