Bahrain said that several Iranian drones struck its territory early on Saturday morning, June 27. Manama called the attack a "flagrant violation" of international law and an encroachment on the country's sovereignty.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Tehran's strike followed US strikes on Iranian facilities late on Friday, June 26.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns in the strongest terms the attack on its territory using Iranian drones, which is a blatant violation of sovereignty and a clear threat to the security of citizens and residents," the kingdom's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces confirmed strikes on Iran in response to an alleged attack on a commercial vessel in The Strait of Hormuz.
In response, the Iranian military attacked several locations of the US Armed Forces in the Middle East.
Advisor to the Supreme ruler of Iran Mohsen Rezai said that the United States violated the first article of the memorandum of understanding (ceasefire in Lebanon), and "continuing to create tension in In the Strait of Hormuz, violated the fifth article."
"The response to the violation of any article of the memorandum of understanding will be swift and decisive," Rezai said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the US government is discussing the issue of moving some of its military bases away from Iran, among the possible new locations being considered the territory of Israel.
