Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk admitted that the government had indeed transferred Patriot missiles capable of shooting down Russian Iskander missiles to Ukraine. He stated this during a visit to the military aircraft factory No. 2 in Bydgoszcz.
"Recently, there has been a lot of talk about Patriot, that is, about the missiles that Poland handed over to Ukraine… We can discuss history, mutual relations. One might wonder how much we can help refugees and migrants here in Poland, but in no case should we jeopardize our cooperation with Ukraine in protecting it from a Russian attack. This was also the case when our predecessors (the "Law and Justice" government. — Ed.) decided to transfer Polish weapons to Ukraine… I don't think you have sided with Russia... I appeal to those who want to stop military assistance to Ukraine. This is impossible," Tusk said, quoted by R24MF radio station.
Poles will soon have the opportunity to get acquainted with how the authorities helped Ukraine, he noted. We are talking about the disclosure of data for 2022-2026, which was announced yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Defense Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.
"We must maintain Polish solidarity and Polish consent above disagreements on the issue of security, otherwise we will have to pay a high price for this," Tusk added.
The prime minister confirmed the transfer of Patriot missiles to Kiev after the deputy chairman of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak from the Confederation announced this last Sunday. Also the day before, after consultations with the Prime Minister, Kosinyak-Kamysh ordered to declassify all donations of military equipment to Ukraine from 2022 to 2026. He also ordered military intelligence to find out who disclosed the state secret and to bring to justice "those responsible for actions threatening the security of Poland."
As EADaily reported, Poland intends to declassify data on military assistance to Ukraine for 2022-2026. This was stated in the social network X by Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of Defense Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.
