The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the new German ambassador to Moscow should not be deceived. She announced this in her telegram channel.
"The new German ambassador, as soon as he arrived in Russia, tried to portray a public greeting, saying that he would demand something from the Russian government there. There was an obvious false start. With such an understanding of the purpose of his diplomatic mission, the dialogue of the German diplomat in Moscow will not work out. He also said that the citizens of Russia warmly welcomed him. Given that he does not speak Russian, I would ask you not to flatter yourself: perhaps you misunderstood Russian idiomatic expressions," Zakharova writes in her telegram channel.
The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly recommended that the new Berlin envoy "not attribute his fantasies to Russian citizens."
As reported by EADaily, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the departure from Russian Ambassador of Germany Alexander Lambsdorf quote from "The Master and Margarita".
