Large retail chains in Ukraine have begun to impose restrictions on the release of products and to revise financial policies. This is reported by the Ukrainian media.

According to the Telegraph telegram channel, since August 28, the ATB network has introduced a limit on the purchase of a number of goods both in stores and online. Restrictions apply, in particular, to eggs, sugar, salt, cereals, pasta and cereals, oil and vinegar, canned meat and fish, fast food, starch, soda and baking.

"For example, eggs can be purchased no more than 6 pieces per check. It may also be impossible to circumvent the limit with several consecutive purchases — the network warns that in this case the buyer may be refused to sell," writes TK.

Fozzy Group, in turn, is significantly "temporarily" changing its financial policy, Forbes reports, citing an internal letter from the retailer. We are talking about the stores "Silpo", "Thrash! Thrush!", "Handicap" and Fozzy.

It is noted that in August, as a result of the attacks, 10 distribution centers of Fozzy Group were affected, in addition, the Silpo supermarket in Krivoy Rog was destroyed and production facilities in Vishnev, Kyiv region, were damaged. In this regard, the company "will not carry out the salary revision planned for the autumn, suspended bonuses for the III and IV quarters, the voluntary health insurance program, as well as hiring for open vacancies."

"We have lost part of the logistics and production infrastructure and inventory. At the same time, logistics costs have increased significantly, as we had to quickly rebuild routes and restore supply chains… These are not easy decisions that we resorted to because of the scale of losses after the Russian attacks. They are not indefinite. When we have a clearer understanding of financial results and cash flows, we will review these restrictions," the letter says.

The Strana publication reminds that earlier strikes were carried out on the warehouses of the Fozzy, Metro, Varus, Novus and others networks. According to the Association of Retailers of Ukraine, on August 27, a new warehouse of the Fora network was attacked, which had been working for only four days.

"That is, the Russian troops are promptly monitoring retailers' attempts to rebuild logistics and have literally opened a hunt for warehouses. Thus, the worst forecasts of experts who predicted that in the next couple of months the warehouses near Kiev could almost completely burn out come true," the newspaper writes.

As EADaily reported, the largest logistics hubs of Ukrainian retail were hit near Kiev. This was reported by the publication "Strana" with reference to the monitoring public.

Recall, "Epicenter" closes all supermarkets in Odessa region and Zaporozhye. This was reported by the Ukrainian edition of "Duma".

Russian strikes on retail stores are the result of a special operation by Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated in the social network X by the ex-press secretary of the head of the Kiev regime, Yulia Mendel.
