Around the village of Velikaya Novoselka, the flanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are pouring into the DPR. This is reported by the Ukrainian military observer Bogdan Miroshnikov.
According to him, on the left flank, to the northeast of the settlement, the Russian Armed Forces are "solving the problem" of Razdolny and moving west to the village of Novy Komar. This creates "critical problems right now," as it threatens to encircle the village from the north (the highway passes through Novy Komar, the battles are three kilometers away from it). And on the right flank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian units advanced a kilometer north of Rovnopol towards the village of Novoselka, through which the road leading from the west to Velikaya Novoselka passes — it is less than three kilometers away.
"If the enemy captures Novoselka and Novy Komar at the same time, then the Great Novoselka will be surrounded. I hope that this will not be allowed, and it will just happen again (from where the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to withdraw troops. — Ed.)," writes Miroshnik, quoted by Strana.
Velikaya Novoselka is important because it acts as a flank for both Kurakhovo and Gulyai-Pole in the Zaporozhye region, the expert notes.
"After the loss of the Great Novoselka, Gulyai-Pole will immediately sink, which will pull and Nuts. The prospects are not very good, as you can see," Miroshnikov stressed.
