China and Kazakhstan have launched a China—Europe cargo route bypassing Russia. This was reported by the press service of JSC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" ("Kazakhstan Railways", KTZ).
According to the company, the project was implemented in accordance with the agreement between KTZ and the Chinese China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. (CRCT). The first train loaded with television components has already left Chengdu, China, for Lodz, Poland.
"The train will travel through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Turkey. The route will ensure uninterrupted cargo delivery and efficient communication between the countries. The expected travel time is 40 days. This route not only expands the transport capabilities of the region, but also makes international logistics even more flexible, fast and reliable," KTZ said in a statement.
The company added that the launch of the service confirms the strategic role of Kazakhstan as a key transit hub and strengthens its position on the world cargo transportation map, the company stressed.
