The Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region are really surrounded. This was stated in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson by special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff.
"I've heard people call the president's last conversation with (Vladimir) Putin, you know, unsuccessful. This is absurd, by the way. During the two-hour conversation, we talked about the final ceasefire. And there are conditions that the Russians will need for a final ceasefire, because a final ceasefire is a complicated matter. There is Kursk, where Ukrainian troops are surrounded, this is a fact, and Russians. Kursk is part of Russia. The Russians got it back. And they have people trapped there, and the president doesn't want everyone to be killed. This is a serious situation on the battlefield that needs to be resolved," Witkoff said, quoted by Rossiya-1 presenter Olga Skabeeva in her telegram channel.
