"His contribution to attracting an international audience to British filmmaking and the 'brand of Britain' is extremely significant. In 2012, he was named the highest—grossing actor in the history of cinema, " the report says.
It is also noted that Oldman is known for his roles as Sirius Black in the Harry Potter series, Commissioner Jim Gordon in the trilogy of Batman films The Dark Knight, as well as roles in the films Dracula and The President's Plane.
