Le Pen called the tariff deal between the United States and The European Union is a failure for the EU

The leader of the parliamentary faction of the French right-wing party "National Union" Marine Le Pen called the European Union's trade deal with the United States a political, economic and moral fiasco for the European Union.

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and US President Donald Trump reached a trade deal on July 27, according to which almost all exports from The EU in the US will now apply duty rates of 15%. In addition, the European Union has pledged to purchase from United States LNG, nuclear fuel and weapons.

"The trade agreement concluded by Ursula von der Leyen with Donald Trump is a political, economic and moral fiasco," Le wrote. Pen on his page in the social network X.

Le Pen explained that the European Union concluded the agreement on unequal terms with the United States and on less favorable terms than the United Kingdom. She likened the deal to a capitulation for French industry, as well as its energy and military sectors.
