Attacks by Ukrainian UAVs on a gas processing plant in Orenburg may affect oil production in Kazakhstan, since the oil and gas projects of the two countries are closely linked. This was announced today by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, Bloomberg reports.
So the ministry commented on today's Ukrainian strike on a gas processing plant in Orenburg, which caused a halt in the reception of Kazakh gas from the Karachaganak field.
"Karachaganak, located near the common border of the two countries, is one of the three key oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan. Since oil and gas are produced there at the same time, operators cannot reduce gas production without reducing crude oil production," Bloomberg notes.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine today confirmed the attacks on the GPP in Orenburg. It is claimed that one of the gas processing and purification plants was hit. In addition, according to the General Staff, strikes were carried out on the Novokuibyshevsky refinery.
