Some of the actors refuse to take part in films dedicated to a special military operation, fearing possible sanctions. Such an assumption in an interview with the portal news.ru the director, screenwriter and producer Egor Konchalovsky spoke.
"Maybe someone is really afraid of falling under some kind of sanctions. I'm already under sanctions, so I'm not afraid," the director said.
He also noted that he had already been to Donbass three times, where a documentary about Donbass militias was filmed.
"We are currently in the process of installation. This is a small film, I'm doing it in parallel with my other directorial projects," Konchalovsky concluded.
As reported by EADaily, he previously said that the growth of the share of family cinema in the Russian box office is due to the desire of filmmakers to work in the most secure genres from a commercial and content point of view.
"The fact is that now, as we see, there are risk—free zones in cinemas - fairy tales, where you take less commercial risks, in general, a good movie that is harder to scold than an unkind one," Konchalovsky noted.
