In the Chelyabinsk region, FSB officers detained the deputy head of the region, Andrei Faleychik. According to RBC, he is suspected of a bribe on a particularly large scale.
The investigation concerns the period when he headed the Kopeysky city district, Governor Alexei Texler said in his Telegram channel.
"Deputy Governor Andrei Faleychik was detained this morning. We are talking about investigative actions related to his former place of work — the head of the Kopeysky city district. I will refrain from making assessments, I am sure that the investigation will objectively sort it out. I would like to note that the current administration of Kopeisk will provide all necessary assistance to the investigative authorities," Texler wrote.
Faleychik allegedly took a large sum from the director of the organization of children's recreation LLC "Youth" Blazer M.E. for the protection of the interests of the entrepreneur.
The investigation believes that Faleychik received bribes systematically, being the head of the Kopeisk city district, and later — a high-ranking official of the government of the Chelyabinsk region, in charge of the most budget-intensive areas, including the spheres of road construction and construction, housing and communal services.
It will be delivered to Moscow in the near future.
