People's Artist of Russia and State Duma deputy celebrated his anniversary on stage in the Kremlin

People's Artist of Russia and State Duma deputy Denis Maidanov celebrated his 50th birthday on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

"The main goal is, first of all, to be needed by people. There is no artist without an audience. Only the viewer makes a verdict: this artist should be an artist, and even more so — a people's artist," Maydanov said.

He noted that on the day of his 50th birthday he wants, first of all, to thank his country.

"Thank you for accepting me at the time when I appeared on stage. Thanks to everyone who joined recently, to those who are still just discovering Denis Maydanov," he said.

The concert was also attended by: the All-Russian consolidated choir of the First and children's musical theater "Domisolka", "Turkish Choir", People's Artists of Russia Nikolai Baskov, Oleg Gazmanov, Larisa Dolina, Alexander Buinov, Mikhail Shufutinsky, People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko, as well as Honored Artists of Russia Alexander Marshal and Sergey Voitenko.

In the finale of the concert, Maidanov, together with his wife, performed the song "Fidelity", and with his daughter — "Come on, turn on ours!"

As EADaily reported, on February 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Maidanov the honorary title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation.

Maidanov is a deputy of the State Duma ("United Russia") from September 2021. He holds the post of first deputy chairman of the Committee on Culture.

Maidanov is a laureate of the FSB of Russia Award (2015), the Ministry of Defense Award in the field of culture and art (2017), as well as the Rosgvardiya Award (2022). In 2017, Maidanov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia.
