It is necessary to immediately investigate the incident with the American boat off the coast of Cuba. This was stated in the social network X by a member of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Carlos Jimenez.

"I call for an immediate investigation into the circumstances of this massacre. The United States authorities should establish whether US citizens or their lawful permanent residents were among the victims and find out exactly what happened," Jimenez writes, quoted by TASS.

As EADaily reported, a speedboat from Florida entered Cuban territorial waters and opened fire. This was reported by the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement on the social network that when the coast Guard vessel approached the boat to identify the passengers, "shots were fired from the ship." As a result, the captain of the Cuban vessel was injured.
