Russia and China are providing Iran with "political and other" assistance in the war with the United States and Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with the American television channel NBC News.

To the clarifying question, has Tehran received from Moscow and Beijing's military assistance after the start of the American and Israeli strikes, Argachi noted that it "always came," but refused to provide details about cooperation with other countries "in the midst of the war."

The NBC News host noted that before that, the Kremlin said that Russia had not received any requests from Iran for assistance, including with weapons.

EADaily reminds that in January 2025, Moscow and Tehran signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, which defines the main directions of long—term cooperation between the countries - in politics, economy, transport, energy and humanitarian spheres, and also provides for the coordination of approaches to security issues. At the same time, the treaty does not contain provisions on mutual military assistance and does not imply the automatic entry of one country into the conflict on the side of the other.
