Ferment in the US Armed Forces: military personnel do not want to die in Trump's war

The US army began to ferment: the soldiers do not want to go to die in the Middle East, where their president Donald Trump, together with the Israeli authorities, launched a war against Iran. In addition, there are leaks that real losses in the conflict zone may be higher than the official data of the Pentagon. Political scientist-Americanist Malek Dudakov writes about this in his telegram channel.

"Fermentation in the US armed forces. More and more American soldiers and reservists are expressing dissatisfaction with the escalation in the Middle East. They do not want to go to die in a war without clear goals, reasons and plans. Many say directly that they are being forced to die for Israel," he notes.

There are rumors that the Pentagon is carefully hiding the real losses among the US military during the three weeks of the war. And they may be significantly higher than the official figures of 13 dead and 230 injured. There has been a tenfold increase in soldiers' appeals to human rights defenders who are being asked to help them refuse to be sent to the Middle East, the expert points out.

"The personnel of the burning American bases, which cannot be defended in conditions of depletion of air defense missile stocks, hit the psyche of the servicemen very hard. The shelling of an Iranian school was perceived even worse — no one wants to be associated with such war crimes," the political scientist states.

For 2025 from The Pentagon's apparatchiks were dismissed, who were supposed to assess the risks of strikes on civilian targets and minimize civilian casualties. As a result, everything was left at the mercy of artificial intelligence, which messed up very badly during the war in Iran, Dudakov adds.

"There is also a sharp negative attitude among many military personnel to the attempts of the Trump team to send them to suppress protests in liberal megacities of the United States. The White House's spike with the Israeli lobby is also perceived negatively. Almost two-thirds of American youth now have a bad attitude towards Israel. As a result, the morale in the US armed forces is at the very bottom. And this will fully manifest itself in the event of attempts to arrange a ground operation, which will obviously end extremely badly," the expert concludes.
