The passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz will be jointly controlled by the United States and Iran. This was stated today, March 22, by US President Donald Trump, answering journalists' questions at the airport in West Palm Beach (Florida) before going on a working trip to Tennessee.
"It will be opened very soon if it works," the American leader said, commenting on the course of contacts with Iran. When asked to clarify exactly when, Trump replied: "Immediately."
He is also confident that the situation in the strait "will be controlled jointly." They asked him who it was.
"Perhaps by me,— Trump answered at first, but then added: By me and the Ayatollah. Whoever is the Ayatollah."
It should be noted that the new supreme leader of the Islamic Republic is Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, whose father and all relatives were killed by American-Israeli strikes during the war unleashed by the United States and Israel on February 28.
Tehran also denies the very fact of the negotiations, which Trump suddenly announced today, and continues to launch missile strikes against Israel, US bases and energy facilities in neighboring Arab countries.
As EADaily reported, the White House justified the aggression allegedly emanating from Iran with missile and nuclear threats. At the same time, the US leadership openly called on the Iranian population to oppose their own government and seize power. Iran has launched retaliatory operations against Israel and US facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
