The hacker group "Handala" (Handala Hack Team) announced the hacking of the personal e-mail of the head of the FBI, Cache Patel, and posted part of the correspondence in the public domain, Reuters reports.

Khandala is a unit in the Ministry of Intelligence and National Security of Iran. The group has attacked Israel and the Persian Gulf countries, but has now switched to European and American targets.

Hackers on their website write that Patel "got on the list of successfully hacked victims." The publication contains photos and documents allegedly belonging to the head of the FBI. Reuters could not confirm the authenticity of the leaked correspondence, however, the email address indicated by the hackers coincides with the data that appeared in previous leaks. Some of the published materials studied by the agency contain personal and work correspondence for 2010-2019.

A representative of the US Department of Justice confirmed the fact of hacking and said that the published materials "look authentic."

Earlier, Khandala announced the hacking of the American medical company Stryker as revenge for a strike on an elementary school in Minaba.
