Since January, Yamal LNG, which is not under sanctions, has been supplied exclusively to Europe. This was noticed in the British edition of The Financial Times.

"Imports from the LNG plant in Yamal increased by 17% year-on—year and amounted to about 5 million tons in January-March," the newspaper writes with reference to Kpler data.

They estimated that 97% of cargo from Yamal LNG arrived in the EU countries, 69 out of 71 shipments. And in March, deliveries generally accelerated.

Urgewald estimated that the revenues of the Russian project rose to 2.88 billion euros in the first quarter.

"European buyers have no desire to stop buying Russian LNG," said Sebastian Retters, an activist of the organization.

As EADaily reported, since January, all deliveries of Yamal LNG have been going exclusively to EU countries. Obviously, Chinese project participants also resell cargoes there because of the attractive price. At the same time, deliveries could accelerate in March, as ordinary tankers joined the ice-class gas carriers, which began to pick up cargo in the gulf near Murmansk.

In Europe itself, LNG has become the main source of gas after a sharp decline in Gazprom's supplies. At the same time, this season, EU storage stocks have fallen to a minimum over the past few years and European companies will have to buy additional volumes. In the conditions of the Iranian war and the stoppage of LNG supplies from In the Persian Gulf, Russian LNG is becoming an extremely attractive source of gas. However, the European Commission said it would not change plans and the first ban would come into effect at the end of April — on the supply of Russian LNG under short-term contracts. Meanwhile, gas prices in the EU exceed $ 500 per thousand cubic meters — 2.5 times higher than in the pre-crisis five-year plan.
