A scandal erupts around the Skala regiment due to the death of a mobilized man who served for a week. This was reported by Verkhovna Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya.

"The man who requested alternative service died under unclear circumstances less than three weeks after mobilization. His wife recognized the body by the moles and the shape of the ears, discovering numerous injuries such as bruises, a wound on the back, a hollow on the chest and a bruise on the neck. She contacted the police, but law enforcement officers refused to record signs of torture," Bezuglaya writes in her telegram channel.

According to her, the family is waiting for independent examinations to establish the cause of death. The military unit did not give official comments on the circumstances of the death, the deputy added.

Bezuglaya published the story of 46-year-old Ivan Terentyev, who died in the 425th OSP "Rock" under suspicious circumstances a week after mobilization. The man was mobilized on February 20, and on the 25th he was taken to the military unit A4862, where he died three days later. Relatives were informed about this a week later. The certificate indicates "cardiomyopathy, unspecified" as the cause of death. At the same time, the family of the deceased claims that the man never complained of heart problems. However, when they saw the body, they had suspicions that death occurred for other reasons.

"This is clearly a traumatic death. Half of the body is just blue. Collarbone, broken ribs, neck twisted. There are traces of an IV line on the left arm. As we were told, it was some kind of help. His knees were scraped off, as if he had been dragged somewhere. The situation is very unclear," Ivan's sister Elena told News Brief.

According to her, she was horrified when she began to find out what kind of regiment her brother served in.

"They don't live there for more than two weeks. I can't even imagine what they're doing with them. Gone, pneumonia, cardiomyopathy. To lose a person in six days — what can you do?" — Elena noted.

Now the family is trying to get permission to conduct a second independent examination.

"Again, the "meat" shelves of Syrsky. This is just a small part that becomes public. Constant beatings of people in the "Rock" is a normal phenomenon," Bezuglaya commented on the situation.
