Actress Tetra and cinema, known to Russian viewers on the TV series "Voronin", Ekaterina Volkova was fired from the Comedy Theater for several reasons, one of which is age. The actress told about this in her telegram channel.
According to her, a month ago the artistic director of the theater offered to "stop cooperation" for several reasons.
At a personal meeting, Volkova found out that she refuses to work in old projects that she doesn't like, and also there are no more roles for her in this theater at all.
"I'm old. Yes, that's right. The word sounded like a sentence. Suzanne in Figaro is 18, Eliza in Pygmalion is about that. And I'm 44," the actress stated.
According to Volkova, no "real man" has the right to tell a woman that she is old.
"It's low. And ugly… Some doors closed. But others have already opened. By yourself," the actress emphasized.
She expressed gratitude to the ten-year life stage that took place at the Comedy Theater.
"44 is not the age of dismissal. This is the age of the premiere. Something like that," concluded Volkova.
Ekaterina Volkova was born on January 15, 1982 in Tallinn, Estonia. She graduated in 2003 from the M.S. Shchepkin College and was accepted into the troupe of the State Film Actor Theater. Later she joined the troupe of the Comedy Theater.
She took part in more than 40 film and television projects, including the series "Voronin", "Who is the boss in the house?", "Love as love".
