Together with Zelensky, the Four Freedoms Award was given to the victim of long-term sexual abuse, Giselle Peliko. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of Strana with reference to RFI.
The prize is awarded in honor of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from want and freedom from fear. Peliko became a laureate in the category "Freedom from fear".
"Earlier it was reported that her husband had been injecting Giselle with drugs for years, raped himself, and also invited other men to rape her," the publication recalls.
The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, received the award in recognition of his "courageous struggle for freedom and democracy in difficult conditions."
As EADaily reported, Zelensky was presented with the award by Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten. The ceremony was attended by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Princess Beatrix.
"It seems to me that Zelensky especially deserved this award for the unique freedom of movement of persons practicing on the Ukraine," the political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko sarcastically commented on the award of the award to the "Politics of the Country" TV channel ❶.
