The leader of the Tisa party, which won the parliamentary elections in Hungary, Peter Magyar, said he would remove President Tamas Shujok and other officials from office if they did not leave voluntarily. This is reported by local media.
"Until May 31, Viktor Orban's puppets can voluntarily resign from their posts. If these officials do not leave voluntarily by May 31, then on the basis of the mandate received from millions of Hungarians, we will remove them from office," he wrote on his page on the social network.
The number of officials whom the Magyar demands to resign includes the President of Hungary, the head of the Supreme Court, the president of the National Administration of the Judiciary, the President of the Constitutional Court and the Prosecutor General.
Recall, the Tisa party won the parliamentary elections on April 12, gaining 141 seats out of 199 in parliament. The appointment of a new head of government should take place before the end of May. The Magyar, at a meeting on April 15 at the presidential palace, Sandor called on Shujok to resign, saying that he was "unworthy to embody the unity of the Hungarian nation and unfit to be a guardian of the rule of law, as well as a moral reference point."
