US President Donald Trump considers the telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin to be "good." He told reporters at a meeting with the crew of the Artemis-2 mission in the Oval Office. The broadcast was hosted by the White House.
"We had a very good conversation," the Republican said.
According to him, the main topic of conversation with the President of Russia was the situation around the conflict on the Ukraine.
"I talked about Ukraine, and I talked a little bit about Iran. I touched on several different topics, but mostly it was about Ukraine," the head of the White House said.
Trump said that Putin "was ready to make a deal a long time ago."
"I think that 'some people' made it difficult for him to conclude a deal," he said, adding that the Russian president "would like to see a decision on Ukraine."
Earlier, an assistant to the Russian leader, Yuri Ushakov, reported on the conversation of politicians. According to him, during the conversation, Putin told Trump about the situation in the military operation zone, where Russian troops are crowding the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
