Ambassadors of Britain, France and Germany arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry

Ambassadors of Great Britain, France and Germany Nigel Casey, Nicolas de Riviere and Alexander Lambsdorf arrived at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister.

The heads of diplomatic missions of the three Western countries entered the diplomatic building without comment, TASS reports, according to which they will be received by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

First, the French ambassador arrived at the Foreign Ministry parking lot, but did not get out of the car. The head of the British diplomatic mission arrived next. The last to arrive was the German Ambassador. The three ambassadors proceeded to the diplomatic building.

The day before, on June 10, the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov, said that the ambassadors of Great Britain, France and Germany were "asking for a meeting" at the Foreign Ministry with his deputy to discuss the Ukrainian conflict.

As EADaily reported, according to Bloomberg, the "eurotroika" is the leaders of Great Britain, France and Germany, Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz, who are trying to resume negotiations on a peaceful settlement at the Ukraine, intend to enlist the support of US President Donald Trump. At the same time, according to sources, Eurotroika plans to hold a discussion with Moscow from its own, tougher positions on the grounds that the course of the war allegedly changed in favor of Ukraine.
